    Advanced TBM Tunnel Enlargement Method

    Sequence of Construction

    ⑴ During excavation of pilot tunnel using TBM

    ⑵ Drilling of radial charge holes in advance on upper half section of the pilot tunnel, at one or two face ahead of the blasting for enlargement / Drilling of longitudinal charge holes on the outer most face of final tunnel section

    ⑶ Charging on upper half section / Drilling and charging on lower half section, simultaneously

    ⑷ Blasting for enlargement both on upper and lower half section of the pilot tunnel

    ⑸ Rapid muck removal by muck car after ventilation

    ⊙ Backup of TBM

     

    ▣ Drilling of radial charge holes in advance in TBM pilot tunnel, at one or two face ahead of the blasting for enlagement

     

    Blasting for enlargement both on the upper and lower half section

     

    Removal of mucks using blasting protector and muck car
